The Blinds are Now Up!
When we arrived here last year, the husband was so surprised to see the house fully renovated. His stepson finished what they’ve started when he left to fetch Yogi and I. The whole house was really clean and smelling good the first time we stepped inside. We are really grateful for what they did.
But one thing that surprised the husband was seeing that they had removed the window blinds in Yogi’s bedroom and changed it with panels. I’ve never seen those blinds so I thought that it probably looked worn out that was why they removed it. The husband preferred the blinds because it will make the room warmer compared to those curtains.
So, last week, since the cold days are here, he decided to put them up. And I was so surprised to see how still nice they are. He bought it two years ago, but they still look so new. And when he was done putting them up and put valances on top of it, I was so delighted with what I saw. They really look way way much better than the curtains.
Good job, Hubby! Yogi’s loving his room the more now too.
Final Yard Cleaning?
The husband hopes so, but I guess not because as I am sitting here in front of the computer, I can see through the window all the leaves that are falling from the trees. The wind is kind of blowing and the trees in our yard are not totally bald yet. So, that being said, the blowing of leaves yesterday will not be the last for the husband. The husband does all the yard work and he prefers it to be that way because he knows for certain it will not be easy for me. He decided that it’s his ‘job’ and mine would be inside the house.
I would love to help him because looking at him riding the mower seemed fun. But it would be dangerous for me because our yard is kind of hilly. The husband knows best since he’s been living here all his life and has been mowing this yard for years.
I am a good girl and besides, I trust him more than anybody else so, I agreed!
Busy Boy
We’ve been waiting for this day because our newly bought appliances will be delivered today. My husband took a leave off work because he wants to be here when the appliances will be delivered. He is actually starting to get busy now. He wants the old appliances removed and out of the house before the new ones will be delivered.
I told him that we could wait for the men from the store where we bought the appliances so he will have helpers. But I guess my husband is way too excited that he wants the old appliances removed pronto. LOL.
He already had the dishwasher removed and soon, it will be the oven’s turn. Good boy, Honey! (“,)
If We Had the Money, We’d Do it Too
I was watching my favorite makeover show again today and I really admire the transformations they make. There was this house whose backyard was full of junk, but with the magic hands of the decorators, it was turned into a very beautiful backyard filled with plants, a playground for the kids, a dining area with an outdoor fire pit and more. It was really amazing. But guess how much they spent for the makeover? A whooping $80,000! Wow! But it was worth it because everything was remarkably and beautifully done. How I wish we had a backyard like that too.
Spring Means Rebirth and Change
After our home’s renovation, there are still things that need some changing like the curtains for example, some of the furniture which includes the patio furniture for our back deck, and the sofa and chairs in the living room. I’ve been wanting to change them from the moment I got here actually, but there are things that needed to be prioritized so we set them aside for the moment.
But come spring, we will start changing one by one. I already know where to get the best modern furniture that I want as well as the beautiful curtains that will match them. I can’t wait to start and see everything all new.
‘Tis Best to Be Safe, Than Sorry
With the high technology of present times where everything is made so easy and hassle-free for all of us, we couldn’t be happier, huh? There are a lot of things that we can do by just merely using our fingers. Shopping, schooling, paying bills, to name a few. Not to mention, the high technology home alarms that keeps our households safe and protect our loved ones.
I’ve always admired those people who have thought of such innovative products like home automation for example. I should say, peace of mind is better than anything else. Life gets no better than this. And there are more innovations to come in the future. That, I look forward to seeing.
Maybe We Should Be On American Idol
Mine and my son’s day today was spent listening to music and singing along with it while he was seated in front of the PC and me on the rustic furniture near the window of the bedroom. It’s the thing that keeps us sane and not bored at all. Staying all day long at home can be boring, most especially if you’ve done all the chores.
We’re enjoying it a lot – singing to the top of our lungs and all. We are just hoping that our neighbors are enjoying it as well. LOL.
