If We Had the Money, We’d Do it Too
I was watching my favorite makeover show again today and I really admire the transformations they make. There was this house whose backyard was full of junk, but with the magic hands of the decorators, it was turned into a very beautiful backyard filled with plants, a playground for the kids, a dining area with an outdoor fire pit and more. It was really amazing. But guess how much they spent for the makeover? A whooping $80,000! Wow! But it was worth it because everything was remarkably and beautifully done. How I wish we had a backyard like that too.
Spring Means Rebirth and Change
After our home’s renovation, there are still things that need some changing like the curtains for example, some of the furniture which includes the patio furniture for our back deck, and the sofa and chairs in the living room. I’ve been wanting to change them from the moment I got here actually, but there are things that needed to be prioritized so we set them aside for the moment.
But come spring, we will start changing one by one. I already know where to get the best modern furniture that I want as well as the beautiful curtains that will match them. I can’t wait to start and see everything all new.
My Future is So Bright!
It’s there, shining so brightly and illuminating my soon-to-be home’s front and back yard. Yep, I am referring to the outdoor lighting that my fiancé has installed. I haven’t seen its beauty yet but I am pretty certain the light it gives is truly lovely based on the outdoor lighting that we have here at home.
He did show me the fixtures and I just love the designs that he chose. I can never go wrong with my fiancés taste; he did choose me, didn’t he? (“,) I can’t wait to see the lights and be brightened by its beauty! Yeehaw!
A New Life With a Touch of the Olden
My fiancé has been hard at work over the past weeks renovating his house, getting it ready for my arrival. He wants it to be perfect and has spared no expense. But not everything is going to be totally new. His mom recently died, leaving the home he grew up in to him, and since he’s so nostalgic, he’s been taking bits and pieces of the old home and incorporating them into what he likes to call “our new little kingdom.” The house is so old he’s actually had to have some hardware restoration performed on some of the items he used. I can’t wait to see the results of his creativity and share not only the rest of his life with him, but see those bits and pieces of the time he came from.
Another Busy Weekend Ahead
But he sure is looking forward to it. Yep, that’s how eager my fiance’ is to finish the task he’s got to do and accomplish this weekend, and that’s to continue the renovation with the help of his stepson. He’s so excited that he doesn’t mind if he’s exhausted the whole week because of work. He’s determined to finish the renovation before I set foot in his humble abode and that’s what’s keeping him into his goal.
Isn’t that so sweet and admirable? And that is why I love him so. He’s just the sweetest man alive for me – very selfless and very hardworking too. That’s my man! (“,)
Hint Hint, Honey Honey…(“,)
Curtains have been what my fiancé uses to cover the windows inside his house. I told him about an idea that I got on one of Lifestyle Network’s home make-over which was using wood blinds instead of curtains. It really adds to the beauty of a house. I know it would be an additional expense but I also got an idea on how to minimize the cost. And wood blinds aren’t that expensive anyway. He liked my idea and will probably look into it but I haven’t asked him about it again. I’ll ask him again later and give him a little nudge.
Get It Done Kind of Guy
Renovation has started at the home of my fiancé. Yep, he’s renovating and hopefully he’ll be done by the time of my arrival. It’s his goal – to have the place ready for us because he says it definitely needs fixing up. He hasn’t thought of it before since he’s been alone there for quite some time.
He started on the bedrooms last week. His goal this week is to clean the walls so he can repaint them. Then everything else follows: he’ll start at the main house first and his last stop will be the garage. The garage flooring needs repair and the walls and ceiling need repainting too. He still has a lot to do and he’s hoping that all will be good-to-go by the time of our arrival.
