Happy Rain Needs No Umbrella
When it rains it really pours, and this week good news has been pouring not just on me but on my fiancé as well. First off, I received the letter that we’ve been waiting for three weeks and we got the much awaited response we’ve been waiting for and it’s in favor of us. Yay! Lastly, the LCD TV plus its flat panel mount that he ordered finally arrived. I am so happy for him because he’d been raring to have that TV. But I would be even happier if I was already there to share it with him and got to watch my fav shows and movies on that TV too. Hehe. Well, soon, soon, soon; it won’t be long.
Just Make Up Your Mind, Honey
If things will fall into place the way we want it to, my fiancé will be choosing from a selection of mens ties to wear to my brother’s wedding in November. The attire will be strictly formal and though the entourage will be wearing Barong Tagalog – the Filipino formal wear for men, my fiancé prefers to wear his coat and tie since that’s what he’s used to wearing in his country. He did actually think of wearing Barong too, but changed his mind. He can be fickle, you know. But the wedding is still five months away so maybe he will still change his mind in time. If he’s not shopped for a men’s tie yet, that is.
I Can Hardly Wait!
I know that nothing is certain yet whether my fiancé and I will have our wedding this year but we’ve certainly been talking about it a lot. And of course, that’s not all we’ve talked about: our honeymoon has been the second most discussed topic, like where we will go and how we want it to be a special time of forever memories.
New York City is one of his most favorite places to visit and he’s spoke of having our honeymoon there. I really find that great because the Big Apple is one of the many places that I would love to see. He’s also kidded that he’ll get me some nice, special lingerie fitting the occasion of a honeymoon – not the plus size lingerie for I am petite and skinny, but some that he knows I would like and would look good on me. Isn’t he sweet? Now I’m daydreaming. But then, it seems as if my fiancé has some daydreams of his own, huh? Hehe.
Better Late Than Never
More often than not, my fiancé and I normally talk between seven to eight my morning and evening, which is exactly vice versa to him since he’s half-a-world away from me. We have a twelve hour time difference and though we only have an hour to talk, we make the best of our time together and our conversations cover everything from A-to-Z. But today was different: he didn’t get home until his 7:30 in the evening because he worked overtime until 6:00 o’clock and was caught in traffic on his way home. He kept me well informed, though, as he always does; thank goodness for cell phones.
So while waiting for his arrival, I just keep on browsing the net like I usually do, and more often than not, I stumble upon new things. This time around, I was browsing for wedding giveaways but some custom point of purchase displays were among the many items my searches displayed. The concept itself was interesting for it is something I’d never thought of, yet it’s one of those common things that we see everyday. So I now have an additional word in my vocabulary and a new way of looking at things when I’m out shopping. That’s why I never get tired of browsing for I learn new things every day.
It Takes A Licking…
…and it keeps on ticking – the slogan that Timex watch is known for.
Timex has been in the industry for centuries, thus, making it one of the best provider of watches worldwide. And so when I thought of giving my fiance a watch for his birthday, it was Timex that I thought of instantly. And here’s what I got him. Little did I know that his watch was Timex too. The watch that he used but messed up when he visited me last year. One of the reasons too why I got him a watch for his birthday so he’ll have a new watch that he can wear and won’t mess up the next time he visits me. Hehe.

That’s the watch. Very nice, isn’t it?
