What, Me Worry? Hubby Has to Do the Snow Driving

Summer has gone by so quick and it’s already fall. And before we know it, the snow will be falling and winter will be upon us. I will not be seeing bike racks anymore because it will be ski rack time .

Cold temperatures are really not something fun to me, but what I like about winter is the snow. I just love it when everything around me is white and fluffy. Not to mention, I don’t have to deal with it because I am a stay at home wife and mom. Teehee.

I’ve Been Riding the Storms Out

The country is bracing for the arrival of hurricane Irene. Our state, North Carolina, will be the first state to be directly hit, but the good thing is, we live so far away from the coast which I am so thankful about. I am not sure what we will get, but we are still praying not only for ourselves, but for all the people who will be greatly affected.

This will be the first hurricane that I will encounter since I got here in November last year. I already had my share of thunderstorms, a rare earthquake the other day and tornado watches which really scared the hell out of me. I actually checked for a tornado shelter online during the tornado season because I was so worried. Thankfully, all we got was tornado watches and no tornado warnings. I felt sorry for those who were devastated. The damage the tornadoes did was really heart-breaking.

I hope hurricane Irene will not do the same damage. We can just hope and pray.

Rain May Fall on My Head, But Not My Toes

Spring is just around the corner and I really can’t wait. This will be my first spring and though I don’t know what to expect, still, I am so excited. The weather yesterday was actually spring-like though it rained around mid-afternoon. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the day by accomplishing little missions and going around the city.

My hubby said there will be more rain in the coming days. No worries, my rain boots are ready for those rain drops. So, see you soon, Mr. Rain.

Let it Snow!

There have been flurries today and that only indicates one thing: Winter is just around the corner. Snow time may be a bothersome for some, especially those who are on the go but not for me. I am just staying home, not to mention, snow time is one thing that I’ve been looking forward to experiencing since this will be my first.

But come to think of it, I am not fully ready for winter yet, get-up wise. I already have a heavy coat but I still have to get myself a pair of boots. The apple bottom stud boots that I saw online are really nice. Maybe I need to order them ASAP, huh? Okay then, let me get my fingers started working.

Snow, Oh Snow!

Power outages, no internet connections and major highways closed. Those are just some of the things that happened during the heavy snow on Friday, December 18th at my BA’s state which is just among the many states that was affected.

My BA was actually stranded at work because one of the highways that was closed was his road back home. But no problem, BA was able to entertain himself while at work. He called me several times and that kept me entertained too. LOL. Good thing, his cellphone provider didn’t have problems. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have communication at all.
