Toasty Warm

Those were exactly BA’s words when he finally had his furnace running yesterday morning. He forgot to refill his oil tank and only found out that it was empty when he got home from work. And it snowed the previous night so try to imagine how cold it was inside his little domain. I actually sensed from his voice while we were talking that he was shivering. I wonder how cold it was. He was already wearing three layers of thermal shirts and pants but he was still cold. Had it been that I was there, I could have froze. LOL.

Well, be alert next time, BA. Hee hee.

Home

Some would define it as a dwelling house. Some also defined it as where a family resides.

Naruto said: “Home is where someone thinks of you, misses you and longs for you to come back.”

(For those who doesn’t know Naruto, he’s a cartoon character or an anime’ character that kids have grown to love.)

Anyway, I received this message as an SMS from my SIL Karen. Isn’t he right? When I read it, I thought of my BA instantly. Yes, he has a home, a dwelling house but nobody’s there to wait for him. And I do know the feeling of looking forward to going home because someone’s waiting and the feeling too of not having someone waiting there for you – to give you a hug perhaps or even a kiss when you open the door. Such a sad thought. But don’t worry, Honey. I will soon make it a “home” for you.

Missing you…

Our Adventure Has Begun

It is just the start though and we still have a long way to go but at least, BA got it started. He was supposed to have it started months back but we needed to delay things and do some adjustments with the date because of my brother’s upcoming wedding. I want to be there and witness it and hopefully, BA will get to witness it too. Fingers crossed!

And well, the process will be a little tough as some of my friends said, and there will be disappointments along the way but we’re ready to face them and rumble with them, if I may say so. LOL. Seriously, disappointments, uncertainties, and trials are part of life but I’m praying so hard that everything will go smoothly the way we all wanted it to be.

Wish us the best of luck!

Back on Skype!

That’s right after the power was back at my BA’s neighborhood. I’ve written previously about their place experiencing power outages because of the heavy snow that fell on the 18th of this month. They had their power back after 3 1/2 days. Imagine that? I never thought winter could be such a disaster. I never experienced power outages that long in my entire life. The longest we had here was about eight hours only.

But gladly, that problem was over. And now, BA and I are back to talking on Skype. We haven’t done it in those three days. Good thing, his cellphone haven’t had problems. (“,)

Snow, Oh Snow!

Power outages, no internet connections and major highways closed. Those are just some of the things that happened during the heavy snow on Friday, December 18th at my BA’s state which is just among the many states that was affected.

My BA was actually stranded at work because one of the highways that was closed was his road back home. But no problem, BA was able to entertain himself while at work. He called me several times and that kept me entertained too. LOL. Good thing, his cellphone provider didn’t have problems. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have communication at all.

A Day Closer…

…’Til my BA and I will meet again. And we both don’t know when that time exactly will be. Probably a year from today and just thinking about it kind of makes me sad because it seems such a long time to wait. Well, at least we both have something to look forward to and that’s one thing that gives us strength to hold on.

It is tough being away from each other like this though there’s an abundant of phone calls and emails everyday. LOL. Well, for those of you who have tried being away from their loved ones could definitely relate to what I am saying here.

Oh well, I just have to be tough!
